Informed Pregnancy, Birth and Beyond is a grassroots, not for profit community group based in South East Hampshire.
We are committed to supporting families to create community and find the information they need when pregnant, birthing and finding their way as a new family.
Pregnancy, Birth and Beyond Community Groups
Face-to-face peer support meet-ups.
There’s no time too soon or too late to start coming along. You can come alone or bring anyone you like with you. You don’t have to arrive at the start or stay the whole time just drop in when it works for you.
You don’t have to ask anything just come and enjoy some company but if you want to you can ask anything, there’s no such thing as a stupid question or something that’s too embarrassing.
We’re just as happy to talk about feelings that feel overwhelming, making birth choices, vagina-related topics, the contents of babies’ nappies or anything in between

The second Friday of each month in Portsmouth at Make Cafe in Fratton
The third Tuesday of each month in Fareham at Fareham Library
Our online peer support meet up.
Each month we have an online meet-up that you can sign into from anywhere. We have a topic each time that we will share some information about the topic and people in the meet-up will share their experiences. You are welcome to just listen, to ask questions or to share your own experiences and thoughts too. We’re always happy to talk about everything on that topic or off the topic as long as it’s something that’s concerning or interesting you on the day. Every month is a bring your questions month.
Online Group is 8pm-9.30pm on the last Thursday of every month via Google Meet.

Statement from Informed Pregnancy Birth and Beyond on Global Conflict
February 2025
The primary goal of Informed Pregnancy Birth and Beyond is to serve the families in our local community, but we are not isolated from those experiencing pregnancy, birth, and early parenthood around the world. As an organisation and as individuals we feel profoundly moved by the plight of the people of Palestine, Ukraine, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Sudan and South Sudan, and the many other places where those already most vulnerable are put at still greater risk. According to the WHO 50% of maternal, neonatal and early childhood deaths occur in these humanitarian crises.
We support the demands of the Safe Birth in Palestine project to protect mothers and babies. We condemn acts of genocide and call upon our own government to act according to international law, and use its own influence to contribute to the end of this conflict. We welcome and support refugees who can benefit from our support. We support the work of humanitarian organisations worldwide aiming to make pregnancy, birth, the postnatal period and infancy safe.
Nobody shall receive prejudicial treatment from IPBB for standing up for those in need. We support our members in acting according to their own conscience. Our support shall not be mitigated by race, religion, nationality or geography.
